Ubisoft May Delay An Upcoming Title Again

Late last year, Ubisoft announced that it is delaying the release of a number if its upcoming games. Back then, the publisher said that the delay will push the titles closer to the release of the next-generation consoles. It looks like one of them may get delayed again, according to a recent earnings report.

PC Gamer reports that while Ubisoft is committed to delivering the titles on time, the company had a precautionary step in case it fails. This came in the form of including a range of financial targets for the next fiscal year. The COVID-19 pandemic was pegged as the reason behind the potential delay.

The number of games that Ubisoft previously announced were Watch Dogs: Legion, Gods & Monsters, and Rainbow Six: Quarantine. Back then there were two more unannounced titles, but one of them is likely the recently unveiled Assassin’s Creed Valhalla. If any of them is to be delayed, chances are it’s the one that has yet to be revealed.

At any rate, the company has its Ubisoft Forward E3-esque event coming up on 12 July. That will likely be when the company reveals which game gets delayed. Hopefully the company also reveals its last unannounced game at the time.
