New Samsung Galaxy Watch Model Spotted In FCC Listing

It appears that we’ll be seeing a brand new Samsung Galaxy Watch to launch sometime this year. According to several sources, details of the Korean tech giant’s 2020 smartwatch was recently spotted in the Federal Communications Commission (FCC).

The listing revealed that the upcoming Galaxy Watch model will have four variants; the SM-R840, SM-R845, SM-R850 and SM-R855. It is also detailed that the first two models will come in at 45mm, while the latter two are sized at 41mm. Sources believe that the R840 and R850 models will come with LTE, WiFi and Bluetooth support, while the R845 and R855 models will only feature WiFi and Bluetooth capabilities.

Their reports added that the all four variants are equipped with stainless steel cases, and features Gorilla Glass DX protection. Other than that, the new smartwatch is also water resistant with 5ATM rating, and is certified MIL-STD-810G in terms of durability. It is said that the new model will have 5W wireless charging support as well. Specifications such as display type, battery size and so on are still kept under wraps for now.

It’s uncertain when Samsung will be ready to officially reveal the new Galaxy Watch, but it’s possible that it may appear in the next few weeks. That, or it might launch alongside the brand’s highly anticipated Galaxy Note 20 flagship smartphone sometime in August.
