New Razer Blade Pro 17 Features NVIDIA GeForce RTX 2080 Super Max-Q, 300Hz Refresh Rate Display

Razer recently refreshed its top-of-the-line Blade Pro 17 gaming laptop. While equipped with an Intel 10th generation CPU, there’s also the options of having an NVIDIA GeForce RTX 2080 Super Max-Q or a Full HD display with a 300Hz refresh rate.

To be clear, you can only have one feature or the other, but not both in one fitting. If you want the 17.3-inch Full HD display with the 300Hz refresh rate, you will have to be content with just a GeForce RTX 2070 Max-Q GPU. Oh, and it comes with a base NVMe SSD storage of 512GB.

That isn’t to say that the display option with the RTX 2080 Super Max-Q isn’t any good either; for that option, you get a 17.3-inch 4K touch display with, surprisingly, a 120Hz refresh rate and 100% Adobe RGB Colour Gamut accuracy. It also has double the NVMe SSD storage space, but do note that this is expandable up 2TB, and there’s even an extra M.2 that supports NVMe PCIe and SATA SSDs.

Regardless of choice, both Blade Pro 17 models come with 16GB of dual-channel DDR4, which is also upgradeable to 64GB. The CPU powering the two laptop options is also the same: an 8-core Intel Core i7-10875H with a Turbo Boost clock of 5.1GHz.

For ports, the Blade Pro 17 features three USB-A 3.2 Gen2 port, two USB-C 3.2 Gen2 ports, one Thunderbolt 3 port, a 2.5Gb LAN port, one HDMI 2.0b port, and a UHS-III SD card reader. For wireless connectivity, there is an Intel AX201 that gives the notebook Wi-Fi 6 and Bluetooth 5.0 connectivity. Like its predecessor, this model also comes with a per-key RGB keyboard powered by Razer Chroma. Lastly, Powering up the Blade Pro 17 is a 70.5WHr Li-Po battery and a proprietary 230W power adapter.

As for availability, the new Razer Blade Pro 17 models will be available in the US later this month. Pricing starts at US$2599 (~RM11344) for model with the Full HD 300Hz display, while the one with a 4K 120Hz display and RTX 2080 Super Max-Q retails for US$3799 (~RM16582). At the time of writing, there is still no local availability of pricing.
