New Acer Swift 3 Now In Malaysia; Available with 10th Gen Intel Core and AMD Ryzen 4000 Processors

Acer today has announced that the latest iteration of its Swift 3 laptop is now available in Malaysia. This time around, customers can choose to obtain the new laptop with either 10th Gen Intel Core or AMD Ryzen 4000 processors.

For those who not familiar with the Acer Swift series, it generally houses the company’s thin and light laptops. The models within this family are being classified according to numbers with Swift 7 being the peak product of the series so far.

Hence, the Swift 3 is right there in the middle of the family and some might have referred to it as the “lite” version of Swift 5 given the model’s similarities with its higher-end sibling. For the new mid-2020 Swift 3 models, the hardware option starts with AMD Ryzen 5 4500U which Acer said is the first laptop in Malaysia to feature the chip.

After that, it followed by the Intel Core i5-1035G1 and peaks out at Intel Core i7-1065G7. While the Ryzen 5 and Core i5 variants are equipped with 8GB of DDR4 RAM, the Core i7 model comes with 16GB LPDDR4X RAM instead with additional NVIDIA GeForce MX250 and 2GB GDDR5 VRAM.

Interesting enough, Acer noted that the Ryzen variant of the mid-2020 Swift 3 able to deliver 11 hours of battery life while the Intel units can be pushed slight further up to 13 hours. This is even though all three variants have the same battery capacity of 56Whr.

Equipped with a 14-inch Full HD IPS display and 512GB PCIe NVMe solid state drive as standard, the Swift 3 with Ryzen 5 is priced at RM 2599. On another hand, the Core i5 and Core i7 can be obtained for RM 3099 and RM 4299, respectively.

Available immediately throughout Malaysia, Acer is currently offering Touch ‘n Go credit worth RM 100 for early bird customers that purchased the new laptop. For more details, check out this post over at Acer Malaysia’s official Facebook page.
