Conditional Movement Control Order To Extend Further Until 9 June 2020

Prime Minister Muhyiddin Yassin has announced that the current Conditional Movement Control Order (CMCO) implementation will be extended for 4 additional weeks. This means that the new end date for CMCO will be on 9 June 2020, instead of 12 May.

This decision was taken based on the advice provided by the Ministry of Health and National Security Council, says PM Muhyiddin. Despite the improving conditions as only four areas are still being classified as red zones, the Prime Minister stated that government believes that the efforts taken to battle the COVID-19 pandemic still need to go on.

PM Muhyiddin once again reminded the public that interstate travel is not allowed during CMCO. That being said, an exception is being given to husband and wife that live in different states to meet each other, in which they can apply for interstate travel permit through the Gerak Malaysia app or the nearest police station.
