Yoodo Begins Offering Free 1GB Daily Mobile Data To Users

In accordance with the initiative put forward by the Malaysian Communications and Multimedia Commission (MCMC), Yoodo Powered by Celcom (Yoodo) has begun providing its users with an extra 1GB of daily mobile data. The free data is also being provided in conjunction with the ongoing Movement Control Order (MCO).

As per MCMC’s instructions, the free daily 1GB of mobile data will be provided by the telco, starting today until the end of the MCO period, 14 April. Unlike U Mobile, though, it doesn’t look like Yoodo is implementing any sort of restrictions over when said free data can be accessed. Instead, the telco says that the free data will be accessible at anytime of the day.

As you well know, the free 1GB daily mobile data is part of the PRIHATIN economic stimulus package that PM Muhyiddin Yasin announced last week during his televised speech. The free internet package from telcos is part of a larger RM600 million package, while another RM400 million will be allocated to help improve the network coverage of telcos in Malaysia.

On a related note, Yoodo also celebrated its 2nd anniversary earlier this month by changing its name. As well as making several new features and options available to user, while also improving upon currently existing products and services.
