OPPO Watch Officially Revealed; Available In 46mm And 41mm Sizes

Along with the official launch of the Find X2, OPPO also unveiled their first ever smartwatch – the aptly named OPPO Watch. The device sports a waterfall curved display and electrocardiogram (ECG) functionality, among many other features.

The OPPO Watch‘s display features an AMOLED panel with 326 ppi, and sports an aluminium based casing with two buttons on its right side. The device is rated 5ATM for water resistance and is available in two sizes: 46mm with a 1.6-inch display and 41mm with 1.9-inch.

Powering the watch is a Snapdragon Wear 2500 chipset alongside with an Apollo 3 co-processor and 8GB internal storage. It also features eSIM support as well as onboard GPS and NFC functionality, and Bluetooth 4.2 connectivity. The OPPO Watch runs on a version of Oppo’s ColorOS based on Android, instead of Google Wear OS.

The company claims that it can last 40 hours on a single charge when used normally, and around 21 days if it runs on the power saving profile. Additionally, the watch features OPPO’s Watch VOOC fast charging capability which allows it to top-up 50% of its battery in less than 20 minutes.

Aside from the previously mentioned ECG functionality, the device also tracks a wide range of physical activities, as well as sleep and heart rate monitoring. Like most smartwatches, it also features phone-to-watch capabilities such as notification and voice call controls.

Lastly, the watch also features detachable straps which can be easily removed by pushing a single button. Selection of these straps include either Italian calfskin or fluoro rubber, and are available in a variety of colours.

The OPPO Watch will be released in China on 24 March, and is priced at CNY1,999 (~RM1202) for the 46mm variant and CNY1,499 (~RM902) for the 41mm model. The company states that it will be available globally but did not specify a release date.
