Upcoming Twitter Update Allow Users To Limit Who Can Reply To Tweets

In the interest of further reducing harassment and other malicious behaviour, Twitter will be including a new feature on its platform. In an upcoming update, the social media platform will allow its users to prevent tweet replies from unwanted sources.

This new feature provides you the ability to limit replies to only people that you follow and mention, and also to those who are included in the conversation. Users could also post up a new form of tweet called Statement that can not be replied by other users on Twitter.

Other improvements coming to the platform include conversation view with threading, as well as discussion interface for certain topics. Other than that, Twitter is also providing an improved lists feature which provides users a convenient way of customising and finding useful listings on the platform.

Previously, Twitter has recently implemented new features in order to give an enhanced and improved experience. On top of following people, the platform now allows its users to follow topics as well. In certain tweets, Twitter will prompt users with a button which allows them to follow that specific topic which is actively being discussed or trending. Another minor but welcomed feature is the ability that lets people hide the replies to their tweets in order to filter out unfavourable remarks and so on.

The aforementioned updates were announced by Twitter at CES 2020 and is expected to roll out on the platform later this year.
