OnePlus Creates Piano Using 17 OnePlus 7T Pro Units

Following a vague teaser posted on Twitter a few days ago, you’re not wrong to assume that OnePlus might be planning to unveil a brand new phone. However, all speculations were shot down when the product in question was later revealed to be a piano. Yes, really.

It turns out that the teaser was actually building up to an announcement for the company’s European tour which will showcase the OnePlus Piano, an instrument made up of 17 units of the OnePlus 7T Pro. Lined up to simulate a piano experience. According to a staff member in the official OnePlus forum, the piano was designed and built from scratch, using 3D modelling and precision craftsmanship.

The design allows the arranged individual units of the OnePlus 7T Pro to create a “seamless and smooth” piano experience by utilising the phone’s 90Hz Fluid Display Technology. To demonstrate the piano’s musical performance, the European tour will be accompanied by pianist Karim Kamar from the UK.

The tour will kick off from London, and will later visit other European cities including Paris, Rothenburg, and Helsinki. On top of that, OnePlus is giving a chance to tour attendees to actually try out the piano for themselves.
