Microsoft Chromium-Based Edge Browser Has A New Logo

Microsoft’s new Chromium-based Edge browser looks to be a lot better than its previous incarnation. Unfortunately, it used the same logo as the infamous Internet Explorer browser, which may deter people from actually using it.

This is finally changing, with the  the new Edge getting a new logo. It still looks to be a representation of the letter “e”, but at least it doesn’t look too familiar to the previous one.

Despite the fresh new look, it’s existence was something that was uncovered rather than announced. It was buried beneath a hidden surfing mini game in the latest Canary version of Edge. The mini game itself was also part of an elaborate Easter egg hunt, according to The Verge.

The Canary version of the new Edge browser has been around for quite awhile now. That said, Microsoft has not yet announced a release version. Now that the logo has been uncovered, it may also mean that the company will be making the official announcement in a bit.
