Xiaomi Launches 34-Inch WQHD Curved Gaming Monitor; Retails For 2499 Yuan
Back in August, we reported Xiaomi’s intention to launch its own curved gaming display for the desktop PC market sometime next month. True to its word, the display is already being advertised on the brand’s official page.
The product is called the Mi Surface 34 and just as previous reports suggested, it is Xiaomi’s first gaming monitor. Specs-wise, it has a 34-inch curved, ultra-wide VA panel, with a maximum resolution of 3440 x 1440. Along with a 21:9 aspect ratio. Additionally, the monitor also has a 144Hz refresh rate, 4ms response time, and utilises AMD’s FreeSync anti-tearing technology.
Regarding the latter feature, it is still not known if the Mi Surface 34 is or will be given compatibility with NVIDIA’s G-SYNC technology.
Design-wise, the Mi Surface 34 sports a thin 2mm bezel that also supports VESA mounts. The monitor itself can be rotated, tilt and lifted to suit different viewing angles. For connectivity, it comes with two HDMI 2.0b port and two DisplayPort 1.4 ports.
From what we can make out from the official product page, the Mi Surface 34 is expected to be available from 11 November onwards. Price-wise, The gaming monitor will retail at 2499 yuan (~RM1478), but there a pre-order price of 1999 yuan (~RM1183), should consumers lock in their order before the availability date.
On another note, Xiaomi is also selling a 23.8-inch IPS monitor for 699 yuan (~RM413), but details about its are sparse. What is known is that the display only has Full HD resolution, one HDMI port, and a 178° viewing angle. Oh, and it only has a maximum refresh rate of 60Hz.
