Malaysia Airlines Bans Selected 15-inch MacBook Pro As Checked Baggage For Its Flights
Malaysia Airlines has announced that selected 15-inch MacBook Pro laptops are now no longer permitted to be on its flights as checked baggage. This following the worldwide recall that Apple has issued back in June.
According to the brief statement on its official website, the national carrier still allows users to bring the MacBook Pro into aircraft as carry-on luggage. As for customers that already changed the battery on their affected unit, they must present documentation or receipt that proved the exchange have been done.
Following Apple’s worldwide recall of the 15-inch MacBook Pro laptop batteries sold between September 2015 and February 2017, Malaysia Airlines passengers are not permitted to carry the affected model as checked baggage. More info: https://t.co/2uFc59HLWn
