CIMB Experiencing Issues With Card Payment System; Customers Advised To Use Other Payment Methods
Less than two weeks after its online banking service woes, CIMB has found itself stuck in the mud once again. This time around, it’s the bank’s card payment system that seems to be causing grief for its customers.
The first signs of CIMB’s current banking issue were first made known by local carrier Malaysia Airlines (MAS) via its official Twitter account. In addition to informing customers, it also advised them to make payments via CIMB Clicks or other alternative forms of payment.
Important Notice: As CIMB is currently experiencing a technical issue with its card payment system, Malaysia Airlines customers are advised to make payment via CIMBclicks or other alternative payment methods available. Customers may refer to CIMB for further updates.

Hours later, online retailer Shopee echoed the same woes, saying that it was also experiencing the technical difficulties with CIMB’s card payment system. Like MAS, it also advised its customers to seek out alternate means of payment to complete their purchases.
At the time of writing, CIMB has yet to address the issue with its card payment system. On that note, the bank’s official Twitter account seems silent about the problem, despite two of its merchant partners already informing their own clients.
