Xbox Game Pass Beta Now Available On PC; Costs US$4.99 A Month

During its E3 press conference, Microsoft announced its Xbox Game Pass for PC. It was first made available for the company’s console, the Xbox One, back in 2017. Now that it’s available on PC, it’s much more of a direct competition to Sony’s PlayStation Now.

The Xbox Game Pass page says that the PC version of the pass is still in beta. As such it also comes with a price of US$4.99 (~RM21). When the beta phase is over it will revert to US$9.99 (~RM42), similar to the price of the service on the Xbox One console. As of now, it looks like the only subscription option is a monthly one.

That said, it does come with a number of perks of its own, like 20% discounts off games from the Microsoft Store. Microsoft also promises a library of over 100 games by August. According to GameSpot, the company says that the Game Pass library for PC will be curated separately.

At the same time, Microsoft has also announced the Game Pass Ultimate. It’s basically a bundle of both versions of the Xbox Game Pass, plus an Xbox Live Gold subscription and all its perks. This costs US$14.99 (~RM62) a month.
