Sega Genesis Mini Will Arrive In Malaysia On Global Release Day; Comes With A RM359 Price Tag

The Sega Mega Drive Mini was first announced last year, and is set to be released on 19 September this year. Fortunately, it looks like we will also be getting it here in Malaysia on the very same day as the global release.

That said,the version that we are getting is the US version, the Sega Genesis Mini. Those who are familiar with the Mega Drive will also know that there’s a US version called the Genesis. This particular one comes with controllers with three buttons instead of the usual six.

Either way, the Sega Mega Drive Mini and Genesis Mini are about 55% smaller than the original console from 1988. They will even feature replica ports and a sliding volume control. As previously reported, the controllers are plugged in via USB ports, and connects to a display of your choice via HDMI. It will also have 42 games preinstalled.

Again, the Sega Genesis Mini will be available starting from 19 September. You’ll be able to get them from Impulse Gaming for RM359. It will be distributed by Epicsoft Asia, who will also be giving the Genesis Mini a one-year warranty.
