Intel Shows Off Honeycomb Glacier Concept Dual Display Laptop

The ASUS ZenBook Pro Duo is a pretty radical laptop, with its 14-inch 4K secondary display. But when it comes to concepts, ideas can really go off the hinge. And that’s a rather apt metaphor (if I may say so myself), when we look at the Intel Honeycomb Glacier concept gaming laptop.

What you’re looking at is a gaming laptop with not only two displays, but two hinges as well. While you can move the primary display as you would a conventional laptop. a second hinge allows the secondary display to leave the base of the laptop. This makes it possible for both displays to face you directly, rather than have you look down when you need to look at the secondary display.

Unlike the ASUS flagship device, this one comes with a 15.6-inch Full HD display and a 12.3-inch touch display. Also unlike the ASUS  implementation, the touchpad doesn’t double as the numeric pad. Sitting on the hinge in the middle of the two screens is a Tobii eye tracker.

With the ASUS ZenBook Pro Duo already in existence, you’d think that a production version of the Honeycomb Glacier would also be available. But according to Intel, we’ll only be able to see brands implement their own design and put them on shelves around the end of next year, in 2020.
