First Devil May Cry Title Heading To The Nintendo Switch

Capcom’s Devil May Cry (DMC) is making its way to the Nintendo Switch. The announcement came via the official Devil May Cry Twitter account, stating that the game will be ported “this summer”.

That said, it’s still unclear as to whether the game will be making its way to the Nintendo handheld console as a standalone title or as part of the Devil May Cry HD Collection port. The HD Collection was launched for PC, PS4 and Xbox One back in March of 2018, and consists of the first three games in the DMC series.

If the game turns out to be a standalone port, Switch owner will be able to avoid getting DMC2, one of the most ill-received entries in the series. On the flip side, it would be a bit strange not having the HD Collection ported, as it means Switch players won’t get DMC3, one of the series’ best received DMC titles.

Either way, we’ll find out more when the title gets released for Switch. And on a related note, this may also mean DMC protagonist Dante may make his way into Nintendo’s Super Smash Bros. either as a DLC for Super Smash Bros. Ultimate, or in the next instalment.
