Endgame Early Reactions Are Overwhelmingly Positive

The Malaysian press screening of Avengers: Endgame is only happening early morning tomorrow (Marvel Studios wants to keep everything hush hush), but the early social media reactions from those who were lucky enough to attend the world premiere in the US are in. As expected, they’re overwhelmingly positive. Was there ever any doubt? The film has been called an emotional roller coaster ride, “masterful” and “epic.”

Imagine the best possible version of #AvengersEndgame and somehow the film still surpasses all expectations. I cried 5-6 times. It’s the most emotional, most epic, MCU film. A tribute to ten years of this universe and holy shit the great fan service in this movie. Soooo good.

#AvengersEndgame is A LOT. Too much at times. But wow the payoff is huge. Left me proud to have invested over a decade in a franchise that delivers an inspiring exploration of what it means to be family & a hero. (Endgame also now has one of my favorite shots in the entire MCU.)

Besides some of the reactions above, I’ve been mostly avoiding social media like the plague to avoid any accidental spoilers. I’ll be catching the film first thing tomorrow morning and be putting up my spoiler-free review on Lowyat.net in the evening.
