U Mobile Data and Voice Services Facing Nationwide Outage

U Mobile’s data and voice services are currently facing a massive network outage across the country. This is based on a huge surge of complaints from their customers on social media channels over the past few hours.

U Mobile themselves have acknowledged the network issues via their official social media channels and are working to rectify the issue. The response, however, stopped short of specifying the exact nature of the outage.

Hi, our regrets for any inconvenience and it has been brought to our attention and respective team is currently rectify on the issue. We would advise that you proceed with U Mobile network selection from the available list of carrier on your phone then try to restart it ya. TQ.

Based on information derived from social media postings from U Mobile customers, the outages which initially started as a minor service disruption earlier today quickly escalated to a complete network blackout affecting all U Mobile customers. Some customers even complained of network degradation that started late last night.

A customer service tweet from earlier today blamed the outage on vandalism of U Mobile’s network equipment, but we are still waiting for an official statement from U Mobile to confirm whether this was indeed the cause of the outage.
