Borderlands 1 GOTY Edition To Be Available On 3 April; Handsome Collection To Follow

In addition to Borderlands 3, Gearbox Software also announced that the first Borderlands will be getting a remastered edition. Or as the official name goes, Borderlands: Game of the Year Edition.

As with most versions of games with a “Game of the Year” tag, the game will include the DLCs released for the title at the time. Beyond that, new content includes weapons, better visuals and other gameplay improvements. If you’re getting it on consoles, it will also support four-player split-screen co-op.

Gearbox also announced the Ultra HD Texture Pack for Borderlands: The Handsome Collection. The package includes Borderlands 2 and Borderlands: The Pre-Sequel, both of which will feature improved visuals as well.

Both Borderlands: Game of the Year Edition and the Ultra HD Texture Pack will launch on 3 April, 2019. The games will be available on PC, PS4 and the Xbox One. The latter is completely free, but for the former, it’s also free if you already own a copy of the first Borderlands on Steam.
