SanDisk and Micron Announced 1TB microSD Cards
Two renowned names in the flash storage industry, SanDisk and Micron have announced that they will be offering 1TB microSDXC card very soon. According to both companies, it is the largest storage available for microSD card at the moment.
The two cards will have different read and write speeds though. Micron offers 100MB/s read and 95MB/s writes while SanDisk is faster at reading, with 160MB/s and 90MB/s writing data.
Designed for both media and apps, these cards support fast 4K recording, while at the same time are A2 certified for app install support.
SanDisk is opening pre-orders for the 1TB card, which will be priced at USD499.99 (~RM 2,033). The smaller 512GB is priced at a much more affordable USD199.99 (~RM 813). Both cards will be available from April 2019 onward.
Micron meanwhile did not share pricing for its 1TB microDXC card, but confirms Q2 2019 availability.
