Fun Studying Ideas for History

A lot of students do not like learning or studying history because they think history is just learning a bunch of dates and names; however, there is much more to history than that. One of the ways you can make students realize this is by utilizing computer games related to history.

Combat Missions, a series of wargames, are based on a battle simulator used by the U.S. Department of Defense which is used to train soldiers for real war. The developers decided to create games for World War Two and the Soviet-Afghan War, among others, designed for recreational use. Ultra-realistic, these games are real time and require a lot of skill and patience to play. By getting your students to play these games, you can show them an approximation of what these historical events were really like, and as a result, help them to develop an interest in history.

Make Detecting Plagiarism into a Game

A lot of students do not know what plagiarism is or how to avoid it, especially those in middle and high school. Play a game with your students where you check for plagiarism using a plagiarism checker for students free of charge. They find math almost impossible to learn, so they wind up giving up on even trying to figure it out.

Instead of just doing problems on the board, you should try finding an online quiz game that you can play with your students. By playing a game, you can create a relaxed atmosphere where students are not afraid to do a problem incorrectly. If you have a class that is particularly strong in math, you can time your students on how fast they do the problems and keep score. These games can also be played at home, and can be a great way to spend time with your child if he is struggling in math.
