Google Maps ETA Sharing Comes To iOS
Google Maps has finally brought ETA sharing over to Apple’s iOS. Added to Android devices over a year ago, it allows users to not only share their current location, but also your travelling route until you reach your destination.
The process of accessing the feature is much the same as it was before. Simply start navigation, then look for ‘Share trip progress’ where the ^ arrow is. This will work not only for driving, but for walking and cycling as well.
In addition, Google has also made it so that sharing can be done through third-party messaging apps like WhatsApp and Facebook Messenger. We’ve already gotten the update, so if you don’t see it yet you may have to update Google Maps on your phone first.
