#OnThatNote: What Can The Massive Storage On Samsung Galaxy Note 9 Do For You

Before the era of smartphones and hyper connected world, we used to not think much of storage inside our phones. Now, things have changed these days though as smartphones storage have increased so much just like our growing hunger for content consumption. For the Samsung Galaxy Note 9, the scale goes to 512GB – that’s half a TB inside your pocket!

Even the 128GB storage on Galaxy Note 9’s base model sounds like quite substantial for many users out there. Truth to be told though, the large storage on the Samsung’s latest note to date actually might come in handy.

Let’s say you are going away on a long trip and you thought that you might want to use those idle time travelling to as well as from your destinations by catching up some series or movies on Netflix. Naturally, you would download those contents first in order to save your precious mobile data.

Not only that, you would most likely go for multiple episodes or download the whole season altogether if you didn’t have the chance to watch that particular series before. Either or, those Netflix downloads can take quite a chuck of your storage as you can see in our example below:

Then, there is also games as well which have somehow grown in size as of late too. Take Fortnite for Android – the very game that was actually revealed during the Galaxy Note 9 global launch itself – as an example which actually has file size of more than 1GB.

That…just one game alone. If you love games, the massive storage options on Galaxy Note 9 together with its top-notch hardware should be able to allow you to download, storage, and play games to your hearts’ content.

Meanwhile, content consumption is just part of the picture though. The Galaxy Note 9 can be a potent mobile content creation tool as well not only because of its processing power, highly capable camera, the S Pen, and quality display but also…you might have guessed it: the phone’s high capacity internal storage.

For images, the Galaxy Note 9 should have no problem storing all the pictures captured by your trigger-happy fingers. Let’s say that an image would have a file size of roughly 5MB and there is 100GB free space left in the phone which means that you would be able to roughly fit around 20,000 images on Galaxy Note 9.

For videos though, naturally they require even more space. Our quick check showed that a 2-minute worth of 4K video recording on Galaxy Note 9 would resulted in a file size that is more than 700MB big while similar duration in full HD resolution is slightly higher than 200MB.

Hence, anyone that plan to make Galaxy Note 9 as their content creation tool would likely appreciate the massive amount of storage available on the device. Not only that, content creators can even go further as Samsung will also be releasing a 512GB microSD card in the near future which has been guaranteed to be compatible with Galaxy Note 9

All in all, the high capacity internal storage on Galaxy Note 9 could been seen by many as “too much” but in reality, it is as important as other high-performance parts that Samsung has equipped into its latest superphone.
