NVIDIA RTX Technology To Be Supported On Battlefield V And Shadow Of The Tomb Raider

While NVIDIA’s newly announced GeForce RTX series graphics cards are set to hit the markets next month, only a handful of game titles will be able to make full use of the company’s technology. Fortunately for us, there will be three triple-A titles that will fully support NVIDIA’s ray-tracing technology at launch.

Announced alongside the launch of NVIDIA’s new graphics cards, the game titles in question are EA’s Battlefield V, Deep Silver’s Metro Exodus, and last but not least, Square Enix’s Shadow of the Tomb Raider.

With the availability of the Turing GPU, the developers of all three video game studios say that they are now able to fully utilise NVIDIA’s ray-tracing technology render realistic shadows and reflections throughout each respective title.

Battlefield V is slated for a 11 October launch this year, while Shadow of the Tomb Raider will be available across all platform on 14 September this year. Metro Exodus will only be available next year, with its current release date set for 22 February 2019.
