Alleged Intel Core i9-9900K CPU Benchmarks Appear On 3DMark

Less than a week after its specifications were leaked online, it now seems that the benchmark scores of Intel’s alleged Core i9-9900K have popped up on 3DMark. The scores were first posted by Twitter user Tum Apisak (@TUM_APISAK), along with the details of the CPU and test bench that was used.

The benchmark used here was 3DMark’s Time Spy test. The components used to test the CPU was a Z370 motherboard, 16GB DDR4 RAM, and a single NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1080 Ti. The overall score gained from the test was 9862, while the CPU score was listed as 10179.

It’s important to note that 3DMark doesn’t list down the CPU as a Core i9-9900K. Instead, it is simply referred to as a “Genuine Intel(R) CPU 0000” with a base clockspeed of 3.1GHz. However, it should also be noted that the CPU’s cores and thread count is the same as Intel’s top of the line non-HEDT CPU.

Intel is expected to launch its 9th generation Core processors sometime between August and September. The new CPUs will still be based on Intel’s current Coffee Lake CPU architecture, with the Core i9-9900K is expected come with an 8-cores, 16-threads die layout, a Turbo boost clockspeed of 5GHz out of the box, and a TDP of just 95W. Surprisingly, it is also expected to be the only processor to run with Intel’s Hyperthreading technology enabled.
