Lenovo Unveils The Legion Y730 and Y530 Gaming Laptops

One and half year after launching its gaming-oriented Legion series, Lenovo today has unveiled a set of new products for the series in conjunction with E3 2018. Among them are two gaming laptops in the form of Legion Y730 and Legion Y530.

For those who kept track of their names, you might have noticed that these laptops are the direct successor to the Legion Y720 and Y520 that were unveiled at CES 2017. However, it will be easier to spot them apart as both Y730 and Y530 come with totally different physical design that their predecessors.

For example, the top part of both laptops is located deeper into their body. At the same time, their display bezels are also much thinner than their predecessors. Of course, they also come with more up-to-date hardware such as up to 8th Gen Intel Core i7-8750H processor as well as 144Hz panel for their full HD display.

Users can also obtain these laptops with up to NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1050 Ti, 32GB DDR RAM, 512GB PCIe NVMe solid state drive, and 2TB hard drive. For the 15 and 17-inch version of Y730, they are not only equipped with Corsair’s iCUE RGB keyboard but users can choose to have them with overclocked 16GB RAM from the same company.

In terms of release date, the Lenovo Legion Y530 will be heading to the market first starting this month while both 15 and 17-inch variant of Lenovo Legion Y730 will be released much later in September. Price-wise, these laptops will start at USD 929.99 (about RM 3706), USD 1179.99 (about RM 4702), and USD 1249.99 (about RM 4981) respectively although their availability and pricing in Malaysia is not yet known at the moment.
