Computex 2018: ASUS Introduces TUF Gaming Desktop Alongside Peripherals and Chassis

After launching TUF Gaming motherboards and gaming laptops few months ago, ASUS has expanded the series further by launching a number of new products under its banner. Among them is the TUF Gaming FX10CP desktop system which is the series first ever gaming desktop.

TUF Gaming position as an entry-level gaming series seemed to have been translated quite aptly into the design of FX10CP desktop which is rather minimalistic as compared to other ROG or ROG Strix desktop machines. That being said, it is still draped in black though together with a touch of red details in certain areas throughout the chassis.

Other than that, FX10CP’s chassis also features reinforced side panel through a design implementation called Radiating-X and also features dedicated air chambers to help improve its air flow. The specifications for FX10CP is not too shabby as well since it can be obtained with up to Intel Core i7-8700 processor, NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1050, 512GB M.2 SATA solid state drive, and 3.5-inch 1TB 7200rpm hard drive as well as the ability to support up to 32GB DDR4-2666 RAM.

ASUS has also unveiled the TUF Gaming H5 gaming headset which is built with 50mm audio drivers and 7.1 virtual surround sound capability. The new headset is also designed not only for PC gamers but also those who love to game on consoles and mobile phones.

Also part of the new TUF Gaming peripherals line-up is the TUF Gaming K5 keyboard which features mech-brane keys together with anti-ghosting and 24-key rollover capabilities. The keyboard is also designed to withstand water spills of up to 60ml and has apparently be covered with a special coating to enhance its durability. Yes, Aura RGB lighting is one of the standard features for K5.

Completing the trio of TUF Gaming peripherals is the TUF Gaming M5 mouse that is equipped with 6200dpi optical sensor alongside DPI button and indicator. It also features Omron switches which are able to withstand up to 50 million clicks together with Teflon feet, specialized coating for increased durability, six programmable buttons, onboard memory, and Aura RGB lighting.

Finally, there’s also the TUF Gaming GT501 chassis which actually looks much better than the chassis that ASUS has used for the series’ FX10CP desktop system. The metal-based chassis is equipped with carry handle that able to withstand at least 30kg load together with a 4mm-thick tempered glass side panel which can be opened with the TUF Gaming tag that comes with the chassis.

The GT501 chassis also comes with three 140mm fans as standard and has enough space for two 360mm radiators on the front and top part of the chassis as well as another 140mm radiator on its back. ASUS also stated that the chassis’ front panel is specifically designed to allow more air to flow into the GT501.

The new TUF Gaming FX10CP desktop systems will be heading to global market starting from this month onwards with a starting price of USD 799 (about RM 3177) while the TUF Gaming GT501 chassis will be priced for USD 129 (about RM 513) to USD 149 (about RM 593) once it is made available by August or September.

As for the TUF Gaming peripherals, they don’t have any price tags yet but expect them to be out in Q3 this year. Aside from all of the first party TUF Gaming products above, expect to see TUF Gaming Alliance products from tons of participating manufacturers coming your way very soon as well.
