OxygenOS 5.1.5 for OnePlus 6 adds slow-motion video capture, Switch app and more
The OnePlus 6 went on sale only earlier this week, but already OnePlus is issuing a new OTA update for its latest flagship.
OxygenOS 5.1.5 updates the OP6 with Android’s May security patch. In addition, it unlocks the phone’s slow-motion capture capabilities (480 frames per second at 720p and 240 frames per second at 1080p), adds additional configuration options related to the phone’s display notch and installs the OnePlus Switch app, which is there to help with migrating data between to the new device, among other changes.
The full changelog can be found on the OnePlus website.
If you’ve seen the changelog for 5.1.3, which OnePlus issued earlier this week, a lot of the above additions will be familiar. It’s likely OnePlus is re-issuing this latest update due to a bug that wasn’t caught ahead of the release of 5.1.3.
Like all OxygenOS updates, OnePlus is rolling this one out to users incrementally. If you’re waiting for your OP6 to arrive in the mail, 5.1.5 will likely be available to download once you unbox your device.
